How did your conference experience add to your academic journey at Rutgers?

I’m so grateful the Division of Life Sciences for supporting me with the Life Sciences Student Support Award! The GI Epithelium: Plasticity and Pathways to Disease conference was an incredibly valuable experience that deepened my understanding of intestinal biology and its clinical relevance. I received amazing feedback when presenting my summer research at the poster session, which I plan to apply to my honors thesis project. Beyond the science, I appreciated the opportunity to connect with researchers at different career stages and learn from their perspectives, which left me motivated to continue pursing my own career in research. I believe this FASEB conference not only helped me improve my presentation and networking skills, but helped me grow as a scientist.
