  • What was your favorite class and why?:

My favorite class that I’ve taken so far at Rutgers has been Neurobiology of Pain and Addiction (01:146:465). In a previous class, the circuitry behind pain and addiction was mentioned briefly but really interested me, so I loved being able to learn the specifics behind both these processes. Additionally, as someone who wants to pursue a career in medicine, I feel that the class was very insightful and important for the future.

  • What other Rutgers activities and extracurricular activities do you participate in?:

At Rutgers, I participate in the Minority Association of Pre-health Students (M.A.P.S) and the United Black Council (UBC). I am the current treasurer for M.A.P.S., and have had to work closely with UBC as a UBC representative for M.A.P.S.. Although not currently, I’ve been a peer tutor with Rutgers’ Learning Centers, and I’d like to fulfill that position again sometime this school year! Outside of Rutgers, I currently volunteer at RWJ University Hospital. When I’m not involved in these activities, I like to read, run, and crochet.
