  • Career Interest: The constant problem-solving and precise communication that I see in healthcare has inspired me to pursue a career as a physician. I hope to instill trust and reliability, while also constantly learning about new treatments that can help in the patient’s recovery process.
  • Fun Fact: One of my favorite hobbies is to bake and try new cuisines. Being able to see the overlap between various cultures and the traditions being passed on through dishes has always interested me. I also enjoy spending my time watching movies and understanding the process behind composing music.
  • What was your favorite class and why?:

My favorite class was for my Psychology minor called Social Psychology. At first I didn’t know what to expect and it was a last minute decision to join. The class taught me about how individuals make decisions and how our choices are so heavily impacted by the need to conform. It was my favorite class because it changed my mindset when it comes to learning and how to find new opportunities. It taught me to take more objective approaches and have an open mindset when confronted with obstacles. It not only enforced my decision to major in CBN, but also made me more ambitious when it comes to conducting research.

  • What other Rutgers activities and extracurricular activities do you participate in?:

I currently volunteer in the pediatric neurology department at RWJ and work with children to practice their motor skills. I also spend my time volunteering as an EMT, conducting research at Dr. Sam Gu’s lab, and am an SASHP Peer Mentor Board Member.
