  • Major: Exercise Science
  • Additional Major(s): Psychology
  • Hometown: Roselle Park, NJ
  • Career Interest: Physical therapy, currently leaning more toward sports rehabilitation but I'm still looking into other specialties!
  • Fun Fact: Some of my favorite hobbies include crocheting, reading, and going to the gym!
  • What was your favorite class and why?:

Within my Exercise Science coursework, my favorite classes were Systems Physiology and Functional Human Anatomy Lab. Physiology is my favorite subject because of its integrative nature, and FHA Lab was especially enjoyable for me because I'm a huge visual learner and it helped being able to actually see what I was learning about.

For my Psychology classes, Health Psychology was hands down my favorite! This course opened my eyes to the significant impact of psychological factors on health and recovery, which I had previously approached mostly from a physiological perspective. The real-life applications discussed in this class were really interesting too!

  • What other Rutgers activities and extracurricular activities do you participate in?:

I'm currently the Co-President of the RU Physical Therapy Club where we help connect students interested in physical therapy and raise money for our philanthropy, the Make-A-Wish Foundation. I'm also a student ambassador for the Department of Kinesiology and Health, and I work at Procare Rehabilitation as a Physical Therapy Aide. When I have time, I enjoy participating in the RU Bachata Club and volunteering at my local food bank too!
