- Career Interest:
My career interest lies at the intersection of medicine, neuroscience, and translational research, where scientific discovery can be directly applied to improve patient outcomes. I am particularly interested in understanding how neural circuits adapt following injury or disease and how these mechanisms can inform new therapeutic strategies. In both clinical and laboratory experiences, I hope to contribute to innovations that address complex neurological conditions while maintaining a strong focus on patient-centered care.
- Fun Fact: I have been a Scuba Diver since I was ten years old. I made a bucket list of marine animals I wanted to see when I was eight, and have since been slowly checking off each and every one.
- Why Research:
Learning in research comes in two distinct ways: through the experiments we design to answer our questions and through the ways of thinking we develop by engaging with the work of others. I am drawn to research because it allows ideas from different disciplines to shape how we approach complex biological problems, often revealing connections that would otherwise go unnoticed. Research provides the opportunity to transform seemingly unpredictable recovery stories into scientifically grounded approaches that can improve both the likelihood and consistency of meaningful outcomes.
