How did you decide on your major?

I have always been fascinated by the complexity of living organisms and I wanted to choose a major that would let me dive deeper into understanding them. Plus, it fits right in with my pre-med track, which is a win-win.

What is it about your chosen field (and the department) that appeals to you?

The medical field offers me the chance to make a real difference in the lives of my patients and their families. My current major is laying the groundwork for my future in medical school, setting me on the path to achieving my goals and helping others.

Do you have favorite class/professor within your major?

I absolutely loved General Biology, especially with Professor Daniel Stern Cardinale. It wasn't just about learning biology; it also opened my eyes to more effective study methods that I hadn't used before.

What are your favorite academic experiences outside of your major?

One of the highlights of my academic journey outside of my major was Theater Appreciation. I had the opportunity to attend four captivating plays, including the iconic Broadway production of Moulin Rouge! It was an unforgettable experience that enriched my understanding of the arts.

What are your other Rutgers activities?

I am actively involved in the Rutgers Turkish Club and the Alpha Epsilon Delta Honor Society, regularly participating in their events and activities. Additionally, I love attending Late Knight events with my friends—it's always a great time!

What are your plans following graduation?

After graduation, I plan to attend medical school with the goal of becoming a surgeon in the future. It's a career path I'm truly passionate about and eager to pursue
