This course is intended for advanced undergraduates with a solid background in both the fundamentals of cell biology and neuroscience

This course focuses on development and function of the nervous with an emphasis on diseases and disorders. It has 4 modules, which will be taught by two Professors: 1) neurodevelopment, demyelination, tumors and viral infections; 2) neurological disorders/diseases 3) injury to the spinal cord and brain and repair 4) clinical trials and future of spinal cord and brain trauma.
The course will be taught in person Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00-3:20 pm in Spring 2023 in SEC 118

Master factual and conceptual knowledge in cell biology and neuroscience that will provide a solid foundation for success in advanced training and professional careers.

Use scientific reasoning to evaluate the potential for current research and new discoveries to improve our understanding of cell biology and neuroscience and its relevance to human health and to our society.
Exams, Assignments, and Grading Policy
Exams and Grading:
Each of 3 modular exam=24% of the grade each and the final exam =28%. Exams consist of multiple choice, T/F, Time is devoted to review before each exam.
