"REVIEW YOUR PROGRESS TOWARDS THE MAJOR IN BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES" If you have declared "Biological Sciences" as your major, you can take a peek at your progress towards completion of the requirements for the major! The Office of Undergraduate Instruction, Division of Life Sciences, is very pleased to make this service available to all declared Biological Sciences majors at Rutgers University-NB. Using your Eden/RCI account and password, you can access our database of majors to view your progress towards completion of major requirements. Once you have successfully logged in, with your name and password, you will use your RUID to bring up and view your personal record. Please note that records are updated as soon as course data becomes available from the University Registrar’s office. This means that data from fall and spring terms are entered into our database in early March and August, respectively. Also keep in mind that you will not see any indication of courses that are in progress. If you see an error in the data we have for you in our database, we urge you send a correction to us via an email to the “Director of Advising." We will review your request and correct the database as needed." IMPORTANT: There is an unavoidable lag between the time you declare Biological Sciences as your major and the time you are entered into our database of majors. We normally find out about your decision to become a Biological Sciences major only when we have received a copy of your transcript from the Office of the Registrar. Therefore, there is usually a 1-semester lag between your "declaration" and our "notification." You can significantly reduce this lag time by visiting our Advising Office (Room B-112, Nelson Labs), as soon as you have declared your major, and meeting with the Director of Advising (Dr. Martha Haviland). This will not only allow us to include you in our database sooner, but it will also serve the very important purpose of giving you a chance to review your requirements with the Biological Sciences advisor. If you are not certain of the complete requirements for the major in Biological Sciences, you may wish to begin by taking a look at a summary worksheet describing these requirements.
